LITACorp Begins Accepting Applications for Matching Funds Grant Program

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Infrastructure Technical Assistance Corporation (LITACorp) has begun accepting applications for under its $20 million Matching Funds Grant Program (MFGP), a program designed to assist Louisiana governments with meeting local cost share requirements established by grant programs funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

“For too long our most rural and economically distressed communities have been left behind, missing out on hundreds of millions of dollars in federal investment due to their inability to compete for federal grants that they so desperately need,” said Leslie Durham, LITACorp Executive Director. “Our Matching Funds Grant Program aims to solve this issue by equipping Louisiana communities with the funding they need to be eligible to apply and compete for IIJA dollars.”

Local governments must submit an application to LITACorp to be considered for MFGP funding. Beginning today, LITACorp will accept applications on a rolling basis.

MFGP applications will be evaluated based on four main criteria – distress, rurality, fiscal health, and capacity – to prioritize communities with the greatest need.
